SPECIAL EVENTS
SECOND THURSDAY OF THE MONTH
PERMACULTURE AT THE PUB
Permaculture at the Pub is like 'gardener's night' at your local.
There's no formal meeting, membership, or agenda, but a shared understanding in your local community that on a particular night each month you're likely to cross paths with others that share your passion for gardening, homesteading, permaculture, and simple, sustainable living.
6pm on the second Thursday of every month.
FORTNIGHTLY SUNDAYS
NETRUNNER
The Sydney Netrunner community is warm and welcoming, and always happy to play their favourite game with anyone - whether you’ve never played at all and want someone to teach you, or are an experienced runner!
We're meeting fortnightly on Sundays at 12pm.
SAT 25 APRIL
ANZAC DAY
On ANZAC Day, we pause to reflect and remember the service and sacrifice of those who have served our country. As a small gesture of support, we’ll be donating $1 from every Original Pilsner and Old-World Lager sold to Wounded Heroes Australia, an organisation that provides practical assistance to veterans and their families in times of need. Join us for a quiet moment of reflection, a good beer, and the opportunity to support those who have given so much.
WED 6 MAY
TRIVIA NIGHT
Assemble the crew - it's Trivia time! It may not be May The Fourth, but it is only two days later, so we're leaning right in. Star Wars, Disney and a few more franchises for the film fans. As always, the vibes will be high and the prizes will be abundant. You won't want to miss it!
SUN 10 MAY
MOTHER'S DAY
Mother’s Day, done the Chuck & Son’s way. Book a table and we’ll take care of the details so she doesn’t have to. Every mum or mother figure is welcomed with a Bellini or Midi on arrival, on us. No fuss, just a good drink in hand and a proper moment to settle in.
For the kids, there are craft packs at the ready so they can make something just for her while you enjoy a long, easy lunch. Good drinks, good food, and a table that feels like it’s yours for the afternoon. Because it is.
THU 14 MAY
BONSAI WORKSHOP
Bring friends. Craft beer. Craft trees.
Bonsai and Brews is a fun, easygoing workshop to share with friends or family, where you leave with a great story (and your own bonsai tree).
This beginner-friendly 2 hour workshop gets you hands-on from the start. Bonsai expert Mason guides you through potting, shaping, and wiring a bonsai, drawing on 30 years of experience and plenty of humour to keep things relaxed.
No experience needed, if you can hold a pair of scissors, you’ll be just fine.
Grab your drink of choice, settle in, and enjoy two hours of practical learning. You’ll head home with your own bonsai, how to care for it, and the confidence to keep it growing long after the event.
WED 20 MAY
PINTS & PLAITS
Pint in one hand, ponytail in the other.
Pints & Plaits is a relaxed, hands-on workshop where parents learn a few simple, school-ready hairstyles that actually last.
No experience needed. No judgement. Just practical skills you’ll use every day (with a drink in hand).
FRI 15 MAY
JAZ LYNCH
We’re excited to introduce a new monthly artist residency! A rotating exhibition inviting artists to take over the space.
Launching the series is Sydney-based artist and designer @jaz_lynch.
Jaz’s practice explores line, form and pattern through hand-drawn textures, translated into bold graphic prints. Alongside these works, her sculptural lamps blur the line between object and artform, embracing materiality and the beauty found in imperfection.
Her work will be on display throughout the venue and we invite you to join us on May 15 to celebrate the opening!
20 - 24 MAY
