We were incredibly proud to recently receive multiple medals at the 2026 Australian International Beer Awards.
For a young brewery, it’s a pretty special feeling to see beers brewed here in St Peters recognised on an international stage - particularly in a competition as respected and competitive as the AIBAs.
This year, Chuck & Son’s Brewing Co. was awarded:
Gold Medals
• Original Pilsner
• Two-World Pale Ale
Silver Medals
• Amarillo XPA
• Old-World Lager
• Mid-Strength Pale
• Alpine Hazy IPA
Bronze Medal
For us, the recognition means a lot not just because of the medals themselves, but because of what they represent.
Since opening Chuck & Son’s, the focus has never been on chasing extremes or brewing beers purely to stand out. Instead, we’ve tried to stay committed to beers with balance, drinkability and character - beers people genuinely want to come back to for a second pint.
That philosophy comes directly from Chuck’s decades in brewing and his belief that classic styles, brewed thoughtfully and consistently, will always have a place on the table.
To see beers like Original Pilsner and Two-World Pale Ale recognised in this way feels incredibly rewarding for the entire team.
We’re also especially proud that recognition came across such a broad range of styles - from lagers and pale ales through to hazy and low-carb beers - reflecting the diversity of what we brew here in St Peters.
A huge thank you to our Head Brewer Pete Merrington, venue team and everyone who has supported us so far. Whether you’ve visited the Tap Room, picked up a four-pack, hosted an event with us or simply told a friend about the brewery, we genuinely appreciate it.
And of course, congratulations to all the other breweries recognised at this year’s awards. Australian beer is in a very good place.
