We’re proud to carry the legacy of Chuck Hahn, who has spent decades shaping modern Australian beer, and whose commitment to balance, structure and purpose continues to guide everything we do.

Where It Started
Chuck didn’t get into brewing to follow fashion. He came to it with a background in chemical engineering, a love of flavour, and an obsession with the details that separate a decent beer from a world-class one.
Over the years, Chuck helped shape the way Australians drink beer — not through flash or noise, but through beers people trust. Beers that are balanced, reliable and genuinely satisfying. Whether it’s a clean, bitter Pilsner (his personal favourite) or a brilliantly bold Old-World Lager, his approach has always been the same: take it seriously, and don’t settle until it's perfect.
A Family-Led Team
We’re a family business — and a tight one at that. Chuck is still very much at the helm, and his son Scott brings a clear vision to the brand and business. Together, we’ve built Chuck & Son’s Brewing Co. as a place that reflects who we are: considered, welcoming, and quietly uncompromising.
Our Head Brewer, Pete Merrington, brings decades of experience to the tanks — and, like Chuck, brews with absolute precision. You won’t find unnecessary experiments or seasonal gimmicks here. Just perfectly built beers, made with care and purpose.

The Tap Room is our base. It’s where we brew, pour and host the people who make this all worthwhile. It’s part working brewery, part local meeting place — warm, relaxed and designed to make great beer the centrepiece, not the sideshow.
